What is Interstitium?
Interstitium is the system of record for a small software estate. It maps every project you run and every third-party service those projects depend on, connects directly to those providers to pull cost and configuration, and delivers a weekly account of what changed. Know what you're running, what it costs, and what changed this week.

Who is Interstitium for?
Solo developers and small teams who assembled a product from a dozen services and never kept a record of it. It's built especially for multi-project operators — agencies, studios, and fractional CTOs running anywhere from five to thirty client stacks. If you don't know what you're paying for or what depends on what, Interstitium is for you.

How does the graph build itself?
Automatically, from GitHub. Interstitium reads your dependency manifests, configuration files, CI workflows, and environment templates to work out which services each project depends on. It stores the evidence behind every detection, so it can always show you why it believes a project uses a given service. You maintain nothing.

What are provider connections?
A direct OAuth connection into the providers your graph has found — three or four clicks at onboarding, then nothing to remember. Each connection returns your plan tier, spend, usage against limits, and enabled features. Connections are held at the account level and fan out to every project that touches them.

What is the weekly email?
It's the main way you use Interstitium. Once a week it delivers cost by project, plan changes, renewals, free-tier proximity, provider changes, CVEs, key age, and configuration findings. The dashboard is where you land after an alert — not somewhere you're expected to visit unprompted.

How is this different from a changelog or a security scanner?
A generic changelog says "Supabase is deprecating the v1 auth helpers," and everyone ignores it. Interstitium says: "Supabase is deprecating the v1 auth helpers. Two of your projects import them. On your plan, the cutoff is March." It can say the second sentence because it holds your code and your plan state against the same project. Scanning is one input among several, not the product.

What documents can it generate?
When a client or an auditor demands proof, the record produces the document: a subprocessor list, a data-flow diagram, a records-of-processing starter, a public trust page, pre-filled security-questionnaire answers, and a client handover pack.

Is Interstitium free?
Yes — there's a free tier that covers most individual developers. Multi-project operators running several client stacks get portfolio views, rolled-up cost, and branded handover packs on a paid plan.
